Belize Dental Mission Trip March 2020

In March of 2020, the LIFESmiles team set off on a humanitarian mission to serve the children of Holy Cross Anglican School in Belize. Little did we know that it would be one of the most humbling and life changing adventures we have ever experienced.

With Dr Garpetti, Dr Hyder and Dr Hussar, our team of 3 hygienists and 6 assistants, we were able to work 3 full days in the clinic at the school. Students were alternately pulled out their classes to receive a variety of services including: cleanings, fillings and extractions. Some children had never even been to a dentist before! We were honored to treat several staff members, teachers and security guards in desperate need of dental care.

Every single person we treated in the clinic that week was so incredibly grateful for our help. It is truly the best feeling in the world to give back to humanity. It is something none of us will ever forget.

This trip would not have been possible without the generous donations from our friends and patients.

We truly thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for contributing to our fundraisers that allowed us to do what we do best—care for other humans.

In the future, LIFESmiles Dental plans to sponsor a child each year. Our donation to the school allows one child to attend at no cost to the family. This will feed, educate and provide uniforms for the student.
