Outside of the Office
Dr. Hyder was born and raised right here in the beautiful Treasure Valley. Attending St. Mark’s grade school and then on to Bishop Kelly High School, Dr. Hyder is a true Boise native who grew up just a few miles from our LIFESmiles office. He then accepted a football scholarship at Montana State Northern in Havre, Montana where he did his undergraduate studies in Biology. Dental school took him to the University of Southern California in sunny Los Angeles.
Dr. Hyder is very passionate for dentistry and helping underserved communities not only in the United States, but also around the world. Through organizations such as Mobile Clinic and Dental Humanitarian Outreach Program, he was able to dedicate countless hours of planning, fundraising and providing dental care to the families of migrant workers, homeless individuals and veterans across Southern California.
Dr. Hyder has also traveled to Mexico, Belize, Nicaragua and Cambodia to provide dental work and oral hygiene instructions to children and adults alike. Dr. Hyder’s dedication to service already has him organizing future trips around Idaho and abroad to continue his devotion to dentistry.
When Dr. Hyder isn’t providing the dental treatment you can bet he is outside with his Labrador by his side. Dr. Hyder and his wife, Allie, love everything outdoors from fishing, camping, hiking, and hunting to mountain biking, water skiing, snowboarding, jet boating, and rafting. If Dr. Hyder can’t get into mountains or on a river, he enjoys woodworking or gardening around his house, and perhaps most enjoyable, playing fetch with his dog.
